Publishing a Veloxa Build Site

Until you publish, a project is a private draft. Publishing puts it on a public address on veloxa.site, with HTTPS, in one click. This guide covers sharing a draft, publishing, updating a live site and changing its address.

Drafts and sharing a draft

While you build, the live preview shows your draft. The AI never publishes anything itself: making a site public is always your decision.

To get feedback before you publish, use Share draft in the preview toolbar. It gives you the draft's link, which updates as you keep building. Anyone with that link can open the draft, so only send it to people you want to see it.

Publish your site

  1. Click Publish in the preview toolbar.
  2. Choose the address. A random name is suggested; replace it with your own, such as yourname for https://yourname.veloxa.site.
  3. Click Publish. The panel then shows your live address with buttons to copy and open it.

Addresses use lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, and cannot start or end with a hyphen. If the name is taken, the builder asks you to choose another.

Each plan includes a number of published sites (see the pricing page). At the limit, publishing tells you so; unpublish a site you no longer need (the limit dialog offers it), or move to a bigger plan.

Update a published site

Edits you make after publishing stay in your draft. The toolbar button then reads Publish changes (it reads Published when there is nothing new), and the panel shows Live — changes not yet published. Click Publish changes when you are ready. When the live site matches your draft, the panel says Up to date and shows when it was last published.

Your published site stays online when your monthly AI usage runs out. Only building pauses.

Change the address

Open the Publish panel, choose Change address, type the new name and save. The new address is created first and the old one is removed afterwards, so if the new name is taken your site stays where it was. Once the change is made, links to the old address stop working.

The "Made with Veloxa Build" badge

Published pages show a small "Made with Veloxa Build" pill in the bottom-right corner, which links to the builder. Visitors can dismiss it. On paid plans you can turn it off with the Show the badge switch.

A published site is a public web page on an HTTPS address, so search engines can find it like any other. To help them, ask the AI to set a clear title and description for each page, and to use the words your customers search for in headings and text.

Taking a site offline

To take a site offline and keep the project, choose Unpublish in the Publish panel (it is also offered in the dialog shown when you reach your plan's limit of published sites). Deleting the project takes its draft and published site down, along with its files and history. Download the project first if you want to keep a copy.

Your own domain

Pro includes 5 custom domains with HTTPS; the Starter and Team plans are not available yet (see plans and pricing).
