Billing & Plans
VeloxaHost sells two things through one account: managed hosting plans at a fixed monthly or annual price, and VPS servers billed by the hour and capped at a monthly price. Dedicated IPv4 addresses and storage are add-ons, billed the same way.

Every hosting plan includes backups of each site on the schedule you choose for it (every 6 or 12 hours, daily or weekly, keeping up to 10), copied off-site. The annual price is ten times the monthly one.

Hourly billing
A server with a size is charged for every hour it is running; a stopped server is not charged. In a month, hourly charges stop once they reach the combined monthly caps of the servers you are running.
Hourly charges are added to your paid subscription, so a server with a size needs billing to be active: a hosting plan you are paying for, or Pay as you go ($0 a month plus the hours your servers run, with a card on file; Settings → Billing). A subscription still in its trial period does not count.
Add-ons: dedicated IPv4 and storage

These are the default prices; the console shows the current ones in Settings → Billing and next to each address, bucket and volume. Add-ons are charged by the hour (the monthly price divided by 730) while you hold them, and in a month the charges stop at the monthly price of what you hold. Like hourly server charges, they are added to a subscription with billing active; each add-on is its own line on the invoice. A GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes, so a 10 GiB bucket counts as 10.74 GB.
Included and not charged: IPv6 in regions that offer it (US East does not yet), and the block of ports on the shared IPv4 address every server gets (see Shared & Dedicated IPv4); a server's own root disk, which its size's price covers; volume snapshots. A bucket created before size quotas were required and still without one is not billed; its page asks you to set a size.
Not charged separately
There are no separate charges today for bandwidth, snapshots, backups, load balancers or DNS. What you can use is limited by your plan instead: see Settings → Usage for your quotas. Domain registrations and renewals are paid for separately, at checkout.
Invoices
Payments are collected by Stripe with the card on file. Your invoices are listed on the Billing page of the console.
Free trial
New accounts get a 14-day trial with no card required, on the Starter allowance: 2 vCPU, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB of disk and up to 2 instances. Servers with a VPS size need active billing, as above, even during the trial.
When the trial ends there is a 3-day grace period. After it, the account is suspended and its servers are stopped until you choose a hosting plan or activate Pay as you go.
